A tractor-trailer hauling 5,000 gallons of tar overturned and the sticky liquid spilled on an entrance ramp to I-75 South in Bartow County.

The truck crashed about midnight, and the Red Top Mountain Road entrance ramp to I-75 South was blocked for more than six hours, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The ramp reopened about 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, and the truck was hauled away.

The truck driver was heading to a construction project on I-985 when the tractor-trailer overturned as he was trying to turn onto the I-75 ramp.

He had several cuts and bruises to his arm but managed to climb out of the truck, Channel 2 reported.

No other details were released.
