From the classic chocolate chip to the spiced gingerbread man, holiday cookies are an irresistible indulgence for folks all over the country this time of year. But which dough-licious treats are America’s all-time favorites?

According to a recent survey from GE Appliances of 1,550 people across the continental United States, sugar cookies make the most hearts skip a beat.

In fact, 32 of the 48 states in the continental U.S. — including Georgia — voted for the traditional buttery classic.
