Attention shoppers: A tentative opening date has been announced for the new Von Maur department store at the Mall of Georgia.

And it's right around the corner.

Mall management said Wednesday that the store is tentatively set to open sometime in September.

Von Maur -- an "upscale department store offering top name brands," according to its website -- announced in January 2015 that it would fill the Mall of Georgia anchor spot vacated by Nordstrom, which closed its Buford location because sales weren't meeting expectations. Renovations have been underway for more than a year.

The Mall of Georgia location will be Von Maur's third in metro Atlanta. It currently operates stores at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody and North Point Mall in Alpharetta.
