A Newnan High School Spanish teacher resigned Tuesday amid an investigation into his relationship with a student, officials said.

Christopher Cain, 45, no longer works for the Coweta County School System, Superintendent Steve Barker said.

The school system is cooperating with a local law enforcement investigation

Cain’s classes are being taught by other Spanish teachers while the school seeks his replacement.
