The city of Stockbridge will unveil a marker at Unity Monument Park at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of Eagles Landing Parkway and Rock Quarry Road.

"Unity Monument Park belongs to the community and this newly installed marker unveiling signifies the progress of the city of Stockbridge, said Randy Knighton, the Henry County community's city manager.

“The landmark represents the unified efforts of our diverse community and we couldn't be prouder of this moment in time," he said.

The marker unveiling is one of several activities Stockbridge has planned this year as it celebrates the city's 100th birthday. A kick off party for the anniversary, which is Aug. 6., is set for Jan. 28 at City Hall.
