A man with a scar by his right eye and a teardrop tattoo by his left is considered a person of interest in the July 13 death of 19-year-old Ja’Carlos Jeffries, Atlanta police spokesman Sgt. John Chafee said.

Jeffries was shot twice in front of a food mart on Fletcher Street and later died at Grady Memorial Hospital, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

Police said the shooter hid behind a building and pulled a gun on Jefferies.
