Original story:
A popular Decatur-area Caribbean restaurant failed its recent health inspection with an official noting concerns with employees.
The person in charge at All Island Cafe, located at 4747 Memorial Drive, "lacks awareness in key areas of risk factor control and good retail practices," the report said.
The restaurant received a 46/U. In September, it got an 82. In July, a 75.
The inspector also complained that meat was thawing in “stagnant” water in the sink and that an employee didn’t properly wash their hands.
