A 73-year-old man who walked away from a DeKalb County nursing home was found safe, police said Friday.

Authorities had been looking for Harold Johnson since 9 p.m. Thursday, when he left the Meadowbrook Health and Rehab facility on Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker, according to DeKalb police. He is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Police did not say where they found Johnson.
