Clayton County police have released the name of a man hit and killed early Wednesday while trying to cross northbound lanes of Tara Boulevard.

Officers were called to a pedestrian accident just after midnight at the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Ga. 138, Clayton police Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said.

When they arrived, they found Norender Rosser seriously injured.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

No one has been charged in the accident, which remains under investigation, Marbury said.

No other details about Rosser were released.
