Healthgrades has given Piedmont Fayette Hospital its America's 50 Best Hospitals Award for 2019, putting the facility in the top 1 percent of 4,500 hospitals evaluated for clinical performance.

Healthgrades is a national online resource for finding healthcare providers. Piedmont Fayette has earned the award for five consecutive years, and is the only hospital in Georgia currently receiving that distinction, which is given to facilities showing “superior performance in clinical outcomes” for patients admitted for at least 21 of the 32 most common inpatient procedures.

Healthgrades also gave Piedmont Fayette separate recognitions for work related to stroke and pulmonary services and for critical care.
