ORIGINAL STORY: Right about now, people who missed their chance to compulsively stockpile milk, bread and eggs before it snowed in Atlanta are thinking about what to do for a good meal.

They may reach for their phones, thinking they can fire off an order and have someone drive a meal over, per usual.

But be forewarned: Uber Eats is currently unavailable.

Typing in an Atlanta address prompts, in part, this message: “We thank you for your patience while we wait for conditions to improve. Please check back soon for a return to regular service.”

The company has suspended service due to weather before, such as when weather conditions worsened during Tropical Storm Irma in September.
