Norcross has promoted longtime employee Mary Beth Bender to superintendent of the city's Recreation, Parks & Cultural Division.
Bender has worked for Norcross over the past 13 years in a variety of roles, most recently as the executive assistant for the Public Works, Utilities & Parks Department.
Bender will be responsible for managing daily operations for the city's 11 designated parks and cultural arts facilities. She has also been assigned the duty of administering a diverse recreation program and municipal park system.
