New charter school opening in Atlanta’s Westside community

Westside Atlanta Charter School plans to open to students for the first time Monday.

The new charter school in west Atlanta will emphasize language and literacy, initially serving students in kindergarten through second grade.

The school plans to grow by one grade each year until it’s educating students through eight grade, with about 40 students per grade level.
