A Morrow High School student was killed in an apparent accidental shooting, according to Clayton County police.
The student, identified as Mario Laurent, died after being shot Thursday night on Monica Drive, Officer Phong Nguyen told the AJC.
Police believe Laurent and another teen were playing with a gun when Laurent was shot. The teen was transported to Southern Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
A crisis team was at Morrow High School throughout the day Friday, a Clayton County schools spokesman said.
