MARTA police were on the lookout Saturday for a passenger who cops say pulled a knife on a bus driver because he claimed the driver didn’t leave the door open long enough for him to exit.
Spokesman Lyle Harris told Channel 2 Action News the incident happened around 3 p.m. near the intersection of Memorial Drive and Moreland Avenue in east Atlanta.
A verbal dispute escalated into a physical confrontation between the man and the driver, who was helped by another passenger who intervened. The knife-wielding rider then exited the bus.
Harris said the driver, who was not taken to the hospital, was not seriously hurt.
