Marshals track Philly murder suspects to Athens
By Larry Hartstein
Aug 26, 2010Two brothers wanted for a Philadelphia murder have been caught hiding in an Athens apartment complex.
Deputy marshals tracked Edward Lowery, 25, and Cornell Lowery, 27, to the Rolling Ridge Apartments off Kathwood Drive and arrested them Tuesday, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.
"We developed information they were in the Atlanta area, then we developed further information about the location where they were arrested," Jim Burke, supervising deputy of the U.S. Marshals Service's Fugitive Task Force, told the newspaper.
The suspects are accused in a Philadelphia killing in which a man was shot several times in the head and chest, police told the Banner-Herald. They waived extradition in a court hearing Wednesday.
