Marietta’s own Red Hare Brewing Company will host its Hopping Into Spring 5K to raise money for a metro Atlanta nonprofit organization fighting childhood cancer.
The race will start at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 7 at the brewery’s taproom at 1998 Delk Industrial Blvd SE. Runners and walkers who love beer will make their way through the streets of Marietta, ending the 5K with a celebration featuring live music, drinks and food.
A custom Red Hare glass, complimentary beer tastings and a T-shirt will be provided to runners. You must be 21 years or older to partake in the samplings.
A portion of the race’s proceeds will be donated to Austen’s Army Foundation, a metro Atlanta-based nonprofit founded to support research into rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of childhood cancer.
Red Hare’s race is sponsored by Greenwise Market, which will open in East Cobb on the southeast corner of Sandy Plains and Shallowford roads. An opening date has not been announced.
