Gwinnett County police are investigating the Tuesday night death of a man who investigators said was stabbed by the father of his girlfriend's five children.
According to Gwinnett police Cpl. Edwin Ritter, Gerardo Puga-Puga was visiting his girlfriend at the Legacy Commons apartments on South Norcross Tucker Road near Norcross when he was stabbed multiple times just before midnight. He was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he later died.
Ritter said the victim was stabbed during a scuffle with Juan Valencia-Doroteo, who had forced his way into the apartment.
Valencia-Doroteo fled the apartment after the incident. Police have obtained an arrest warrant charging him with murder.
Ritter asked that anyone with information on the suspect's whereabouts call police at 770-513-5300.
