Dunwoody police are trying to identify a man they say shot into a car near Perimeter Mall earlier this week.

The man used a handgun to shoot through a car’s rear door window Tuesday between 6 and 9 p.m., according to Dunwoody police. The vehicle was parked in the lot of a shopping center on Hammond Drive that includes a Marshalls and Nordstrom Rack. Perimeter Mall is across the street.

No one was injured, and nothing was taken from the vehicle, police said. They did not provide a possible motive for the shooting.

The man is believed to be about 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, and weighing between 170 and 190 pounds, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detective Caleb Gilbert at 678-382-6997 or caleb.gilbert@dunwoodyga.gov, or submit an anonymous tip online.
