A man was killed and two others were hurt after an argument inside a DeKalb County seafood restaurant turned into a shootout in the parking lot, police said.

Robert Campbell, 23, was killed in the shooting that happened about 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Wats Crackin Garlic Crabs at 368 Candler Road, DeKalb County police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell said.

He was wearing a bulletproof vest and is believed to have instigated the fight, Campbell said.

Travis Allen, 42, has been charged with malice murder, Campbell said.

“The person who is dead is the man who followed the other man into the parking lot,” Campbell said.

A bystander was also injured in the shooting, but those injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, Campbell said.

No additional information was immediately available.
