A man tried to drive his car down a narrow sidewalk and onto Druid Hills High School property Thursday morning, officials said.

The 20-year-old driver did not make it up several steps and onto Druid Hills property, DeKalb County School District spokesperson Shumuriel Ratliff told Channel 2 Action News.

He drove his Honda down a narrow sidewalk that goes between the school property and a church, near the parking lot on the school’s east side. The car was later towed away.

District officials said DeKalb County police is handling the incident. The police department has not released other details on the crash or said whether the driver was charged.

No students were involved or injured, the district said.
