Authorities are questioning a man believed to have been involved in an early Tuesday evening bank robbery in Lithonia.

Just before 6 p.m., a man robbed the Sun Trust Bank at Panola Road and I-20, DeKalb County police spokeswoman Bettina Durant said.

The suspect, armed with a gun, fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.

FBI agents, in conjunction with DeKalb police, believe they tracked a person of interest to a nearby residential neighborhood on Salem Creek Drive, Durant said.

Police took a man into custody on an out-of-state warrant and investigators are questioning him to determine if he was involved with the bank robbery, Durant said.
