A man accused of robbing and sexually assaulting 74- and 58-year-old Gwinnett women was apprehended Thursday after trying to elude authorities by getting on a MARTA bus, police said.

Curtis Earsell Dance, 23, of Tucker has been charged with two counts apiece of sexual battery, robbery, false imprisonment and kidnapping, among other offenses.

According to Gwinnett County police, Dance entered a 74-year-old woman's home through a window on July 21, "physically and sexually" assaulting her before stealing cash and a laptop. Four days later, he entered the home of a 58-year-old woman and "ripped her clothing off," sexually assaulted her and stole her jewelry.

On Wednesday, police issued a news release asking the public for information on Dance's whereabouts. Thursday afternoon, Gwinnett County sheriff's deputies went to a home on Atlanta's Fairburn Road to try and apprehend him.

Dance was spotted standing in the yard, then getting on a MARTA bus, according to an incident report.

"The bus traveled a short distance to a MARTA bus ride lot," the report said. "He was taken into custody attempting to switch buses."

Dance is being held at the Gwinnett County jail without bond.
