A virtual reality bar has opened in Atlanta.

Revery VR Bar mixes VR technology with cocktails and snacks in a setting that's similar to a karaoke bar with private areas.

When guests walk in, they can either go straight to the bar or check in with the hostess to reserve a private space. The private spaces allow one person at a time to wear VR googles, while the rest of the party can see those same images — for instance, puzzles, interactive scenes or a first-person shooter game — displayed on a screen.

Snack options include kimchi popcorn, beef jerky and salt and vinegar hominy. Drinks include wine, beer and cocktails of the stirred, carbonated and boilermaker varities.

Hourly rates for semi-private spaces are $20 to $40 for up to five people, or $30 to $60 for 10 to 20 people.

The 21-and-up bar is located in Midtown near Ponce City Market at 728 Monroe Drive NE. It’s open Monday through Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 2 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
