Large new community of homes opens in DeKalb County

A new community of more than 200 homes has opened in southeastern DeKalb County.

“Mason’s Mill Estates,” off Union Grove Road, held a grand opening on Saturday. The community is located just east of Lithonia and north of The Mall at Stonecrest.

Over 70 of the 211 homes are under contract, according to the developer's website.

The single-family homes are priced beginning around $230,000. The median home price for all of DeKalb County last month was $311,875, according to Re/Max.

The large subdivision also includes a clubhouse and pool.
