Kennesaw State University is among the top 100 public colleges and universities that have seen an increase in online enrollment.

The school said it has seen a nearly 50% increase in the number of students enrolled in online coursework from 2015 to 2018, according to an analysis by Inside Higher Ed.

KSU, the only Georgia-based university in the report, had about 15,000 students who were enrolled in online courses in 2018, compared to about 10,000 in 2015. The university in 2018 had 3,900 students who were only taking classes online, which is a 5.5% increase from the previous year.

Recent data from fall 2019 shows the numbers increased again, with nearly 5,000 students who are now enrolled solely in online coursework.
