The Johns Creek City Council has approved contracts totaling $3.2 million to pave neighborhood streets, main roads and the parking lot at Newtown Park.

Northwest Georgia Paving was awarded a $1.76 million contract to pave streets in the Glenhurst, Saddle Brook, Reserve at Wellington, Oak Bridge, Riverwood and Thornhill neighborhoods.

C.W. Matthews won a $1.33 million contract to resurface main roads – Alvin, Kimball Bridge, State Bridge and Parsons – and parking at Newtown Park. The council also approved a $99,500 task order with ATLAS for construction, engineering and inspection services.

The latest contracts continue Johns Creek’s annual street resurfacing program into the 2020 fiscal year. The city has resurfaced 20 main roads and 123 neighborhood roads over the last five years, according to a staff report to the council.
