The Peachtree Corners City Council approved a contract recently for low-bidder E.R. Snell Inc. to move ahead with improvements to the intersection at Holcomb Bridge Road and Jimmy Carter Boulevard.
This is a joint SPLOST project with Gwinnett DOT.
The original budget for the project was $900,000, including a $405,000 contribution from Gwinnett. The construction bids submitted following the Invitation to Bid exceeded these estimates.
New project costs will total $1,088,905, which is $188,905 over the original budget. The approval of the E.R. Snell contract for construction is approved not to exceed $988,653.
