The Gwinnett Stripers are keeping it local for their in-stadium taproom.

The Atlanta Braves’ AAA affiliate announced it will partner with Slow Pour Brewing, a Lawrenceville brewery, to launch the Slow Pour Taproom inside Coolray Field through 2021. Slow Pour was the first brewery in Gwinnett, opening in 2017.

The brewery first collaborated with the team in 2018 when it created a Stripers-themed beer, Off-Speed Pitch. The light-bodied blonde ale was served in the same space, then branded as Niekro's Craft on Draft, named for Braves great Phil Niekro.

The Stripers-Slow Pour partnership will go beyond the doors of the taproom, with the team launching a monthly video series called ‘Slow Pour Conversation,” featuring interviews between radio broadcaster Tony Schiavone and Stripers players and coaches. The team will also feature a “Slow Pour Starting Pitcher” and “Slow Pour Mound Visit” on its social media throughout the season.

The Stripers’ season begins at home April 4, and there are more than five dozen home games through August.
