Peachtree City police have arrested a 17-year-old high school student in connection with numerous incidents of graffiti vandalism throughout the city.

Pierre-Raphael Benjamin Porzio of Aster Ridge Trail in Peachtree City was arrested on Feb. 7 and has been charged with 10 counts of interference with government property and five counts of criminal trespass. He is a student at Starr’s Mill High School. Police credited “a tip provided by a local citizen” for identifying Porzio; the department had offered a $1,000 reward for information in the case. More than a dozen graffiti tags with the name “PETE” were painted on walls, tunnels, utility boxes and other public and private property since December, resulting in costly cleanup.

The city previously stated it would seek restitution from whomever was responsible.
