Advanced, in-person voting for the June 9 election was to begin Monday in Forsyth County, after the Forsyth Board of Voter Registrations and Elections made changes to hours and the location of one voting location.

Advanced voting for the general primary, presidential preference primary and nonpartisan general election of June 9 will take place at the Forsyth County Elections Office, 1201 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 18-22, May 26-29, and June 1-4; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 30; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 5.

Voting also is set for 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., June 1-4, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 5, at the Hampton Park Library, 5345 Settingdown Road; Sharon Springs Park Community Building, 1950 Sharon Road; and Midway Park Community Building, 5100 Post Road.

To reduce the threat of COVID-19, voters will be instructed to maintain a safe distance. The numbers of voting equipment will be reduced, and machines will be sanitized routinely, so increased wait times and lines are likely, the county said. Information: https://bit.ly/2Wz0MZi
