Developers hope to build a new RaceTrac gas station near a busy Gwinnett County interchange.

The "RaceTrac Neighborhood Market" is proposed at the Norcross-area intersection of Beaver Ruin and Shackleford roads, not far from I-85.

According to documents submitted to Gwinnett County Planning Commission, the store would be about 5,500 square feet and feature "more than 4,000 retail and grocery items, including indoor and outdoor seating, an expansive coffee bar, 24-hour Swirl World frozen yogurt and free WiFi."

The planning commission is scheduled to consider the necessary rezoning proposal at its Dec. 7 meeting.

Other proposals include Netherworld Haunted House's possible relocation to Stone Mountain, a retirement community pitched near Coolray Field and a farm that wants to offer pick-your-own berries and a permanent market near Loganville.
