The so-called dog days of summer feel quite pleasant Sunday morning, meteorologists say.

That’s because the humidity is low, about 44 percent just before 6 p.m., Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

Sunday afternoon is expected to stay serene as well.

The current temperature in Atlanta is 85 degrees on its way to a high of 87 degrees.

Meteorologist Brad Nitz said Sunday’s gorgeous start and cool temps are a cold snap for July.

Temps aren’t expected to rise above the 80s in the next five days, Channel 2 reported.
