DeKalb planning efforts honored
DeKalb County was among 11 communities with projects honored this year by the Georgia Planning Association.
The county won for its long-range energy and sustainability program, which addresses issues such as water consumption and transportation.
The county’s Sustainability Committee developed the plan in the hopes of meeting residents’ needs without burdening future generations.
