A company from Denmark is planting its North American headquarters in Roswell.

The Georgia Department of Economic Development announced Thursday that Kamstrup, a supplier of energy and water metering solutions, has chosen Roswell to host its North American headquarters.

The move will bring 52 jobs to the city in north Fulton County.

The city worked on this project for several months alongside the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Danish Trade Commission in Atlanta, the Metro Atlanta Chamber and Georgia Power.

“Georgia has become a magnet for international companies who are looking to expand their reach in North America,” GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson said in a statement.

Kamstrup, headquartered in Skanderborg, Denmark, currently employs more than 1,200 people worldwide. Kamstrup provides energy companies, utilities and sub-metering businesses with metering solutions for electricity, heat, cooling and water.

“We are proud to have Kamstrup locate its North American headquarters here in Roswell,” said Steve Stroud, executive director of the city’s economic development organization.
