Keshia Lashae Wright has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

After her roommates told her to move out, Keshia Lashae Wright tried to run them over with her car, a police report said.

Wright had been driving one of the roommates home when they got into an argument. When the two arrived at their apartment, the roommate got out of Wright’s car and approached the other roommate, her boyfriend, who had been waiting outside, according to the report.

The couple heard screeching tires and saw Wright’s car swerving towards them. They jumped out of the way of the car, but the male roommate’s hand was cut after being hit by the car mirror, the report said.

After they called Gwinnett County police, the male roommate held Wright’s car door closed so she couldn’t leave the Duluth apartment complex before an officer arrived.

The couple told police they had been getting into frequent arguments with Wright. The male roommate told police he’d threatened to file for Wright’s eviction earlier that day.

Wright’s side of the story differed, according to the police report. She told an officer that she was driving alone when she arrived at the parking lot, where she saw her female roommate yelling at her.

When asked if she hit either roommate, Wright said she didn’t think so, but she “could have” because of issues with her power steering pump, the police report said.

When asked about her male roommate’s hand injury, Wright replied: “That’s not my fault. He got those while trying to get out of the way.”

Wright has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault. She is being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center on $5,900 bond.
