A 61-year-old Powder Springs man died Monday of complications from injuries he sustained earlier this month when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into the rear of a stopped car, Cobb County police said.
Thomas A. Brooks was seriously injured about 1:30 p.m. Aug. 12 when his black 2003 Honda Shadow motorcycle struck a gray 2003 BMW 745 that was stopped for a traffic signal at Powder Springs Road and the East/West Connector in Austell, police said.
The BMW’s driver, Steven Edwards, 22, of Springfield, Mass., was not hurt in the accident.
Brooks was taken by ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died Monday, police said.
