A New Jersey-based company said it will invest $4 million and create 150 new jobs for a new facility it plans to open next month in southern Cobb County.

US Elogistics Service Corp., which offers e-commerce fulfillment services for companies selling products online, in October will open a new 500,000 square-foot distribution center in Austell, the Georgia Department of Economic Development said Thursday.

The company’s facility will have 101 loading docks, 114 trailer spaces, 36-foot clear heights and 134 surface parking lots, the Department said. US Elogistics currently has more than 2.5 million square feet of warehouse space and “is constantly expanding further, offering e-commerce sellers of all shapes and sizes the perfect fulfillment platform,” the department said.

The existing building at 240 The Bluffs in Austell was retrofitted to fit the company’s needs, said Dana Johnson, executive vice president of economic development for the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and executive director of SelectCobb.

The new facility compliments US Elogistics plans to expand its operations in response to increasing demand for e-commerce goods.

“We are excited to welcome US Elogistics to Cobb’s business community,” said Johnson. “US Elogistics joins a growing logistics industry cluster investing in South Cobb.”

Founded in 2007 in New York, US Elogistics is a global logistics solutions company that has 1,000 active customers and 20 warehouses in nine countries.
