A Cobb County restaurant will have to undergo another review after receiving a failing grade on its health inspection.

C'est Si Bon Pastry & Restaurant at 560 Windy Hill Road in Smyrna scored a 58, or U, on its June 25 inspection conducted by the Cobb & Douglas Public Health Department. Anything below a 70 is considered failing.

The Haitian restaurant was cited for having an expired ServSafe certificate. It also had uncooked eggs above ready to eat and cooked food in a cooler inside the main kitchen. Chilled food items such as salad, cooked pork, cooked turkey and cooked chicken inside the cooler were not holding at or below 41 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the report.

The inspector also noted the restaurant had frozen, bagged pieces of pork thawing in a meat sink and food debris and spatter inside two kitchen microwaves.

C’est Si Bon also did not have the dates marked on food stored in its reach-in cooler and had hot rice, peas and rice and plantains stored on a tray of a sink and on counter tops.

According to the report, a follow-up inspection will be held no later than July 25. A call was placed to the restaurant, but the manager was not available to speak to the AJC.
