Sprayberry High's quarterback was released from the hospital Sunday after his lung collapsed on a hit hard during a game, according to the football program's Facebook page.

London Roberson was playing a 7:30 p.m. game Friday at Dalton High when the hit happened. The senior was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

The young man posted a video on Twitter from his hospital bed about 6 p.m. Sunday saying he was doing all right — "Everything is good and thanks for the prayers."

The team asked people on its Facebook page Saturday morning to send well wishes to the boy. Five hours later, it posted again thanking the more than 600 folks who sent regards.

Before the game, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution sports staff had listed it as a "Top 10" match.

The Sprayberry Yellow Jackets lost the game by 29 points.

Head coach Billy Shackelford was not immediately available for comment Monday.
