The Cobb County Board of Commissioners postponed a decision Tuesday on whether to open a second employee fitness center.

This one would occupy 3,271 square feet on the first floor of the Cobb County government building, 100 Cherokee St., Marietta in space occupied previously by Internal Affairs.

The renovation cost would be $262,830 plus a $26,283 contingency fund for a workout area and a separate area for fitness classes.

Full funding would come from the county’s Wellness Fund that receives money from AFLAC reimbursements and royalties from the Coast to Coast Prescription Drug Card Program.

The other Employee Wellness Clinic is at Powder Springs Station, 1150 Powder Springs St., Marietta.
