A Chick-fil-A in East Cobb is soon closing, but it’s expected to re-open in November if you don’t trust yourself with the turkey.

The store at 1201 Johnson Ferry Road will close July 6 for a tear down and rebuild, said crew manager Caitlin Trimble.

Other stores in the area have been getting renovations, she said, and it was time for their 31-year-old building to get some love.

The new store will have a double-lane drive-thru, a modern kitchen, an indoor playground and a bigger dining room.

Trimble said employees at that store will be dispersed throughout four nearby locations so they can keep working.

The store has posted a countdown on its Facebook page.

Chick-fil-A is now the eighth-largest fast-food chain in the US by sales. Despite its success, Chick-fil-A franchisees still only pay $10,000 to open a new restaurant.
