A picture of what the Georgia Aquarium's planned expansion in 2020 will look like is starting to take shape.

The 41,000-square-foot addition will include a new exhibit space and main entrance with a partially covered plaza.

Plans call for the aquarium to expand at the southeast corner of the aquarium property, along Baker Street where the main entrance is today. The lower portion of the facade will contain large sections of artwork and media.

Georgia Aquarium opened in 2005. See the few renderings of the expansion below.
