A robotics team at Flat Rock Middle has made history by becoming the school’s first-ever team to win a FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) LEGO League (FLL) Grand Champions Award at a state competition. Team SAFE (Smart, Artistic, Fun Eagles) earned a second place Grand Champion Award, meaning that they had the best overall performance out of all schools in Georgia. Jeannine Barnett of Canton graduated from Emporia State University in December.
Sarah Lewis from Loganville earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at winter commencement on Dec. 21.
Anika Charles of Atlanta graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock during the fall 2019 semester.
Irene Lin of Berkeley Lake is among a group of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine students certified in Mental Health First Aid.
Tirazah Elizabeth Huff of Atlanta received a Master of Science in OM - Entrepreneurial and Economic Development from Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska.
