A 12-year-old boy who was on life-support after suffering a heat stroke has died, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Johnny Tolbert was doing conditioning drills during football practice at Welcome All Park about 7:30 p.m. on July 14.

Temperatures during that time were in the 90-degree range.

When the incident was first reported, it was believed the boy had less than 24 hours to live.

“It’s definitely on the brink of being fatal,” Tolbert’s aunt Razhonge Landers told Channel 2 at the time of the initial reporting.

No other details were given.
