The body of a Hall County teenager was pulled from Lake Lanier on Sunday evening after a four-hour search.

Jesus Victoria Reynosa, 19, of Gainesville, went under water near Longwood Park about 2 p.m. Sunday and never resurfaced, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Game wardens were called to the area to help look for Reynosa, who was believed to have drowned.

They recovered his body about 6 p.m. using sonar scanning technology and a remote-operated vehicle, DNR spokesman Mark McKinnon told Channel 2 Action News.

Hall County and Forsyth County Marine Rescue teams also assisted in the recovery operation, he said.
