Atlanta Classic Cars: Creepers Car Club gears up for big Marietta car show

Fun Run 28 will be held on June 9 at Jim Miller Park

Marietta man's 1937 Plymouth is one for the family.

Wayne Richichi is a proud member of the Creepers Car Club in Marietta. He’s also the owner of this fabulous 1937 Plymouth.

He developed a love for all things Plymouth as a young boy while watching and riding in the cars owned by his father.

Cars like his will be part of the Creepers Car Show on June 9.

The annual show boasts hundreds of classic cars and motorcycles.

All of the proceeds will benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Children’s Miracle Network, and Special Olympics Cobb County.

The event, which begins at 8 a.m., will include music, food, and a swap meet.

One lucky car owner will be presented with the AJC / Creepers Club Cup

There will also be a contest where one lucky subscriber to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution will win tickets to the event.

Like Richichi, there are so many people in metro Atlanta who love their classic cars.

From Fayette to Forsyth counties, these beautiful machines can be seen cruising the back roads and highways of this state.

This video series has been created to showcase some of the fantastic cars in metro Atlanta and the people who put in the time, sweat and money to keep the tires rolling and the engines humming.

If you have a car you would like showcased, email Todd C. Duncan at todd.duncan@ajc.com.

A e-mail to subscribers with details about how to enter the contest will be sent in May.
