A 17-year-old Columbus High School student died at her home Friday of unknown causes, Coroner Buddy Bryan told the Columbus Ledger Enquirer.

Annie Holland complained of cramps and vomiting Friday and stayed home from school. When her mother returned from the store, she found her daughter collapsed on the floor.

The coroner’s office was called to the house and the girl was pronounced dead at 5:05 p.m., the newspaper reported.

Foul play is not suspected, but because of the strange circumstances the girl’s body is scheduled for autopsy and toxicology testing in Atlanta.
