South DeKalb Senior Center opens

The South DeKalb Senior Center celebrated its grand opening Monday, welcoming residents over 60 years old to a gathering place with a variety of activities and services.

The center aims to promote health and wellness, social interactions, education and independence, according to the county.

The senior center is located at 1931 Candler Road in the Decatur area.
