The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology has scheduled meetings to discuss its application process for students who want to attend.

The first meeting will be on Tue., Nov. 15, 7 p.m. for students in the Archer, Brookwood, Dacula, Grayson, Mill Creek, Mountain View, Parkview, Shiloh and South Gwinnett high school clusters.

The second meeting is scheduled for Tue., Dec. 13, 7 p.m. for students in the Berkmar, Central Gwinnett, Collins Hill, Discovery, Duluth, Lanier, Meadowcreek, Norcross, North Gwinnett and Peachtree Ridge high school clusters.

A final meeting is scheduled for Thu., Jan. 12, 7 p.m. for anyone who missed the first two meetings.

Each meeting will be at the school, located at 970 McElvaney Lane, Lawrenceville.

GSMST is one of the most academically rigorous schools in the state. Prospective students must meet requirements in Algebra I or higher before being accepted. The school often ranks first statewide in several academic categories, such as median SAT scores. Students are accepted through a lottery process.

The deadline for lottery registration is Fri., Jan. 20 at 4 p.m.
